Leveling up the pizza game

Pizza is one of the greatest pleasures, but sometimes the leftovers don’t quite hit the way they did the night before. Zazz was conceived as a line of flavor enhancers to help transform last night’s dinner (or 2am decision) into today’s culinary masterpiece. The brand needed to stand out against other condiment competitors while looking cool enough to be proudly displayed on a countertop. I worked with the clients to help name and brand their direct to consumer product line launch, targeting a young demographic of self-described “foodies”.

The logo is inspired by retro pizza shop branding with thick curves and rounded edges. The color palette is bold and fresh, leading with warm tones and a flexibility for additional flavors down the line. The branding system is defined by an “oozy”, playful graphics and voyeuristic photography that shows the casual, unfiltered pizza outing
